A story published last month in TheBusinessOnline, but denied by Goldman Sachs, claimed that they were "fighting like ferrets" at the firm. Then high ranking banker Richard Sharp announced that he was leaving lending some credence to that assertion. Now comes news of yet another shake-up at Goldman in Europe....
According to the Financial Times:
Goldman Sachs has reorganised its senior management in Europe for the second time in just over a year, promoting one of its senior bankers, Richard Gnodde, to be co-head of its European businesses.
Mr Gnodde will become co-chief executive of Goldman Sachs International, working alongside Michael Sherwood, according to a memorandum circulated to staff on Tuesday. He replaces Scott Kapnick, who was appointed in May last year and will return to a senior position in New York....
