Liquidity crisis?: Goldman said to eliminate free drinks perk

According to the NY Post, a Goldman Sachs watered down one of the perks that keeps their staffers liquid: taking away their free drinks...

Thirsty traders at Goldman Sachs now have to spring for their own beverages after the firm abruptly removed the drink bins that were filled daily with free soda and bottled water, according to several Goldman insiders.

The bins, which were scattered around Goldman's vast trading floors at 85 Broad St., One New York Plaza and the firm's other offices, were removed a few weeks ago, insiders said.

A Goldman spokeswoman declined to comment.

Insiders also said that mandatory car services for some employees who stay late have been cut back, especially in more expensive places such as London.
