Juicy Gossip: Lazard CEO Bruce Wasserstein asset swap in the making?

Now that Lazard Freres Bruce Wasserstein has a more svelte look, he might be looking to make other changes in his life.  No clue if this is true, but today's NY Daily News Rush & Molloy column suggests that Billionaire Bruce Wasserstein could be "spinning off" wife number 3, Claude, who he married in 1996 and from whom he's now separated, for "a young Asian beauty with whom he may already be planning a family".  The young chickie is said to be in her twenties, to Wasserstein's 60.   According to the gossip column:

Wasserstein and his latest acquisition were the talk of the media and Wall Street elite at author Lally Weymouth's Fourth of July party in Southampton last weekend.

"He was introducing her as his girlfriend," says a spy. "He seems to be madly in love with her."

Bruce Wasserstein reps were said to have no comment.  It's unclear if a divorce is underway, but the News says that the heartbroken Claude stands to grab a nice chunk of change from Wasserstein's estimated $2 billion in assets if there is. ( although we can't imagine that there's no pre-nup.)  She's the monther of two of his kids, Jack and Dash.  The article also noted the trend in older men looking for far younger Asian women, including Rupert Murdoch, who married former employee Wendy Deng, and George Soros who the Daily News notes is dating violinist Jennifer Chun.

Stay tuned.  This one could be fun to watch if it's true.
