 Here's the 13F Chart study for T. Boone Pickens' BP Capital updated for Q4 2008 (priced as of 3/3/09). 

Boone Pickens equity fund redemption rate: 65% -- but unlike many other funds, he's letting investors out

Scores of hedge fund with even moderate redemptions seem to have recently locked their gates, putting restrictions on withdrawals.  Not so T. Boone Pickens.  His BP Capital equity fund has a 65% redemption rate and he's taken the opposite tack, allowing his investors to redeem early with the firm voluntarily waiving the required notice period.

More hedge fund carnage: Boone Pickens' BP Capital is losing around half of its investors

More bad news for Boone Pickens.  With his hedge fund down some $2 billion since it's June 08 peak, many of his investors are bailing:

About half of the investors in T. Boone Pickens's energy-oriented equity hedge fund have asked to withdraw their money on the heels of losses of about 60% this year, according to people close to the matter. Mr. Pickens and his investment firm have lost $2 billion since peaking in late June, Mr. Pickens said Sunday on the CBS program "60 Minutes."

Boone Pickens dumps his Yahoo shares and calls their management "pathetic"

Oil man Boone Pickens spoke to the San Francisco Chronicle commenting that "I think that Yahoo management was pathetic" for their inability to make some kind of deal with Microsoft to sell all or part of the company.  He disclosed on Monday that he's dumped all of his shares at a loss.  Pickens admitted to CNBC around the time that he ventured into his 10 million share Yahoo investment that he was playing follow the leader with Carl Icahn -- and that he really didn't know much about the  then looming proxy contest.  Next.
